Backup Failed. An Error Occurred while Copying Files

Sometimes LoMag users receive an error while creating a backup of the database in which they read messages that the files cannot be copied. And in the details you can find the information that the user of the warehouse program has insufficient permissions. To make sure that no one is working with LoMag in a different position and trying to make a copy of the database again, follow this instruction manual. For instance, Details: Access to path 'C: \ Program Files (x86) \ LoMag \ Database \ company.mdf' is denied.

This is due to the fact that the login user on the computer does not have all the necessary rights to archive the database. To overcome this issue and being a Windows system administrator, find and open the folder that provides the details of the access denied (C: \ Program Files (x86) \ LoMag \ Database \). By default, LoMag database is installed in the C drive but sometimes user installed in different drive too, in that case, open the required folder.

There should be two files in this directory with the names company.mdf and company_log.ldf, both should be assigned full control for the user, who is facing a backup error. Right click on the file icon and select the last item, properties, from the drop-down menu.

In the newly opened window which is responsible for the properties of the selected file, switch to the security tab, and then find a specific user to assign him rights, or select the Users option, so that all persons using the computer have full rights (individual accounts are marked on the left with one man icon in green outfit, and the group of many users with two characters). After selecting the appropriate account, press the Edit button.

In the new window, select the user (s) and then in the allow column select all boxes in order to grant him full permissions to operate on the file. We confirm the decision by pressing the apply button. After performing this operation, a user who was suffering backup issues while accessing the LoMag database would get access to this operation.
