Designing Printouts with Dedicated Columns for every Warehouse

The instructions below describe how to add dedicated columns with different addresses (branches), bank account numbers or the person responsible for issuing the document known as issuer.

1. Defining New Dedicated Columns

In LoMag warehouse program, select any warehouse to edit its properties. In the example below, we selected testing warehouse having a symbolic representation of TEST. Open the warehouse by clicking twice on it or use the left mouse button and select the open option from drop-down list.

The next step is to edit the warehouse settings from the setting option present in the main menu, and then switch to dedicated columns tab, where you should select the table responsible for the warehouse module from the drop-down list.

By using the add button, a new window will be displayed in front of user, where he can configure an additional column for the warehouse module. After entering the name for the column and accepting the decision by pressing the ok button, the field should appear in the list. After adding all new columns, we close the settings window by clicking the OK button to confirm the changes. Detailed instructions for configuring dedicated columns can be found at this address.

2. Filling Newly Added Fields for the Warehouse

Now click on the Program tab and select the warehouse option, a new window will be displayed, where a user can find all the available warehouses in the software. When adding a new or editing an existing warehouse, you can see the columns we added from the first step of this manual. They should be completed for selected warehouses and then press the button OK.

In order to add additional data in the warehouse window list, right-click on the header of any warehouse name and select the column layout option from the drop-down list to display a new window in which you can configure the window view for warehouses.

After moving the selected columns to the right, confirm the decision by pressing the OK button, this will cause new parameters to appear in the warehouse window.

3. Use of Dedicated Columns on Documents

On opening the testing warehouse, the program will automatically download the data that has been assigned to it, including account number, branch address and the person name authorized to issue the document. Open the invoice document and then use the 'printout' button to open the template editor for the selected document.

The next step is to find the template fields that we want to replace with new parameters, i.e.:

We mark them with the left mouse button so that they are highlighted in red and then we remove them by pressing the delete key or by pressing the right mouse button and selecting the delete option from drop-down list.

On the right, we find the names of the columns that we have introduced to the system in the first step of this manual, left click and hold it and transfer the name to the document - in the place where we want the data to be displayed or printed.

By pressing the print preview button, the LoMag user can preview the printout of the document.

3.1 Saving Templates

In order to repeatedly use the configured template, press the templates button in the upper left corner and then select the save as option - a new window will appear with a list of available templates. By entering a new name and clicking save, the newly configured print template will be added to the list.

The print template can be selected each time on the document from the drop-down list, or set as the default template for invoice document from the program settings.
