The LoMag software is constantly evolving, along with its various functions. One of them is the advanced assembly option, described below. Assembly is used to create new products based on other products already available in stock. This function is especially useful in manufacturing companies.
The program includes a function that allows you to convert/create an item into a product consisting of raw materials. To do this, you have to go to Item List.
When creating a new product, select Product.
At this point, a new tab will appear: Raw materials - click it.
Now we can add the ingredients of the product. To do this, click Add, then select the product and its quantity.
Example view of a product consisting of raw materials.
This creates a library linked to this item. A library is automatically created in which the product is linked with raw materials. To see it, go to Libraries of items in the Items menu.
This is what an example product-to-raw-material link looks like.
Completing the previous steps causes the program to automatically ask whether the product should be linked with raw materials during assembly creation. To do this, go to Assemblies in the Documents menu.
Then click Add and select the product from the list.
The following message will be displayed:
This is what an example assembly document with products linked to raw materials looks like.
This option prevents mistakes such as using a product that has already been reserved for another assembly, or creating an assembly when some product is missing in stock.
To enable this option, go to settings.
Then go to the Documents tab, select Assembly, and check Enable rollback / acceptance of Assembly.
Go to the Documents tab in the module Find.
Then select the assembly document you are interested in and edit it.
When the document is accepted, a notification appears:
Then go back to the Item tab in the module Find. You will notice that the finished product appears in stock.
You can use the option Withdraw document, which only reserves warehouse stock for a given raw material.
When the document is withdrawn, you should notice.
Then go back to the Item tab in the module Find. You need to change the Column Layout.
To display the Reserved in Assemblies column, move it from the hidden columns to visible columns using the arrow.
The Reserved in Assemblies field will appear, where you can check which raw materials have been reserved. The product is in production.
When a product is reserved in assembly, it cannot be ISSUED on Good Issued Note
It is worth mentioning that when adding a product to a WZ document, you can enable the option to view delivery reservations.
By right-clicking on the field Reservations for Receipts, we can check where exactly the given product/raw material has been reserved.
This means there is no reservation. Raw materials disappear from stock immediately. The stock level of materials will be lower accordingly.
To enable this option, go to Settings → Documents, select Assembly, enable Two-step Assembly, and confirm the warning by clicking OK.
Go to the Documents tab by entering
.
Then select the assembly document you are interested in and edit it:
You should notice the message Assembly opened - products do not change stock levels.
Then click Add and select the product from the list.
The following message will be displayed:
In the case of two-stage assembly, raw materials not disappear from stock immediately without reservation.
For the finished product to appear, we need to change the assembly status. This should be done by changing status to Close. A message about completed assembly will appear.
When the assembly is completed, we will see the message: Assembly completed - products change inventory stocks.. Then the products will be added to the warehouse.
The result of this operation is a finished product in stock.

This option allows automatic creation of an assembly document for a product that consists of raw materials.
To enable this option, go to Settings → Documents, select Goods Issue Note, enable Automatic Assembly for missing products, and confirm the warning by clicking OK.
To create a customer order document, go to the Order from customer. Then click Add and select the product from the list.
Then click Create GIN. Because the current stock level of the product differs from the quantity generated by us in the document, the program will ask whether to automatically create an assembly for the missing products.
The following information will be displayed:
A Goods Issue Note (GIN) for the finished product will be generated automatically. Example:
After saving the documents, we can verify that the assembly document was created automatically. Just go to Find module. Then open that document.
We can see that the product was created based on raw materials.
This option is needed when we want to allow adding products that have an incomplete list of raw materials.
To access it, go to Settings → Documents, select Assembly, check Allow adding incomplete raw material libraries, and click OK.
For example, a given product consists of two raw materials. In the list of raw materials needed to create it, we can see that one unit of raw material 1 and one unit of raw material 2 are required. Currently, one unit of raw material 2 is missing from stock.
This will cause the program, when creating a new assembly and adding a product missing a raw material, to allow its addition while informing us about the shortage.
The product has been added with missing raw material 2.
This option allows automatic creation of an invoice for a product that consists of raw materials.
Open Settings → Documents, select Invoice, enable Automatic Assembly for missing products, and click OK.
Next, we create an invoice and select the product from the list.
Because the current stock level of the product differs from the quantity generated by us in the document, the program will ask whether to automatically create an assembly for the missing products.
Then a message will appear informing us that the program has assembled the missing products.
