Blocking Interbranch Transfers (MM) Until Receipt Confirmation + Selective Confirmation Requirement

Warehouse Software

The option to confirm stock levels for interbranch transfers (MM documents) can be useful when we want the destination warehouse to confirm receipt of specific quantities before they appear in its stock. By default, transferring an item from Warehouse 1 to Warehouse 2 automatically updates the stock levels. With this feature enabled, confirmation will also be required.

To activate this option, go to Settings and select Interbranch Transfer.

Next set: Enable confirmation of the movement in the target warehouse

Now proceed to create a stock transfer document (MM).

The MM document will display a notice at the top indicating it’s a confirmed transfer that modifies stock levels in the destination warehouse.

However, you can enforce a rule that the user at the destination warehouse must confirm the transfer. To do this, click Require confirmation in target warehouse

Now the document does not modify the stock at the destination warehouse. The sending warehouse’s stock will decrease — for example, apples will be reduced.

Meanwhile, in the destination warehouse, the apples won’t be visible yet. The warehouse worker must first confirm the document. To do this, go to the destination warehouse.

A prompt will appear informing that confirmation is required for the specified goods. Once confirmed, the items will be added to the destination warehouse’s stock.

Of course, when making such transfers, you can choose whether confirmation is required or not.
