Warehouse Software

Ability to create dedicated item columns that calculate the current stock based on warehouse movement elements.

The LoMag system is capable of calculating weight, volume, and other numerical attributes based on values entered in document line items. These calculations are performed based on the balance of entered values for each warehouse movement element. To define and enable this option, go to setting.

LoMag

Go to Dedicated columns, then select Warehouse movement lines from the A table with dedicated columns dropdown. Click Add to define the column parameters. LoMag

First, create dedicated columns for weight. Enter the column name, select Number as the dedicated column type, and confirm with OK.

LoMag

Create the volume column in the same way. You should now have two columns that look like this:

LoMag

Next, proceed to creating a calculated column by change the A table with dedicated columns setting to Item

LoMag

We proceed to add a new dedicated column for weight by clicking Add. Then we name the dedicated column and select Calculated column, according to the instructions.

LoMag

Define the dedicated column for weight by selecting the column field Calculated column.

LoMag

Repeat the same steps to create a calculated column for volume. The only difference is selecting the column field.

LoMag

As an example, we create a Goods Receipt Note. We add water as an item and can define its weight and volume.

LoMag

Next, we issue this water from the warehouse. To do this, we create a Goods Issue document. When issuing the water, we can see the weight and volume values for the issued quantity.

LoMag

Another example: A user receives pallets into the warehouse. We receive 10 pallets that together weigh 500 kg and have a total volume of 12 m³.

LoMag

Next, we receive additional pallets — this time 20 pallets weighing 1000 kg with a total volume of 24 m³.

LoMag

When issuing the pallets, thanks to these columns we know: how many pallets are currently in stock, their total weight, their total volume, and additionally, the weight of a single unit.
