An assembly document consists of three parts. The first contains general information about the entire assembly. The second part holds information about raw materials, and the third about finished products.

In each section, you can define dedicated columns. To define a column for general information, go to Settings, than Dedicated columns. In the A table with dedicated columns field, select Warehouse documents.
Then add a sample column by clicking the Add button.
Limit the visibility to assembly documents only.
To define a column for raw materials, go to A table with dedicated columns field, than Warehouse movement Lines.
Limit the visibility to Assembly – Raw Materials documents only.
For products, follow the same steps, but limit visibility to Assembly – Products. Than save the changes.
Now, when creating a new assembly document, the fields you defined above will be available.
